K5-1st Grade Instructional Personnel - must demonstrate proof of qualifications in accordance with Section 1002.421(1)(h), Florida Statutes. You must show proof of any one of the following requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in any subject (copy of diploma or completed transcript)
- Three or more years of K-12th grade teaching experience
- Special skills, knowledge, or expertise that qualifies you to provide instruction in K-12th grade subjects (provide documentation such as certifications, professional development, curriculum training, etc.). Pre-K experience and certifications would not meet this requirement.

VPK TEACHER
Part Time 9:00AM - 12:00PM
PCA has an opening for the 2024-2025 school year for an enthusiastic Christian VPK Teacher who will foster and facilitate the spiritual, academic, physical, and social development of students. Prior experience is preferred.
The teacher will plan, implement, and carry out effective activities that will help students reach their God potential.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to learning and exploration.
- Lesson planning and class preparedness.
- Monitor children’s interactions and nurture cooperation, learning, and sharing.
- Cooperate with administration and staff.
- Maintains accurate and complete student records as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations.
- Attends professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops to maintain and improve professional competence.
- Adapts teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
- Meets with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress and needs, determines their priorities for their children, and suggests ways that they can promote learning and development.
- Establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and communicate those objectives to children.
- Identifies children showing signs of emotional, developmental, or health-related problems and discuss them with supervisors, parents or guardians, and child development specialists.
- Organizes and leads activities designed to promote physical, mental, and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and field trips.
- Instructs preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth needed for primary school.
Requirements:
- Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or similar field required; VPK candidates must hold a VPK Certification.
- Previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience in early childhood education.
- Creative teaching abilities.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Must have the ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Physical constraints required include the ability to hear the conversational voice, with or without a hearing aid, the ability to see and read newsprint with or without corrective lenses, to speak and be understood under normal circumstances, to lift and carry children and other items weighing up to 50 pounds, and the use of arms, hands, legs, and feet with or without corrective devices to accomplish the job, including evacuation of the building during emergencies.
- Model appropriate and professional behavior at all times.
- Maintains accurate records of student attendance and departures, end of year records, evaluations of students' performance.
- Maintains workspace by cleaning up, organizing, and respecting shared space
Preschool Teacher
Full Time, 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM
We have an opening for the 2024-2025 school year for an enthusiastic Christian Preschool Teacher who will foster and facilitate the spiritual, academic, physical, and social development of students. Prior experience is preferred.
The teacher will plan, implement, and carry out effective activities that will help students reach their God potential.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to learning and exploration
- Maintain an open line of communication with parents and provide information when necessary.
- Monitor children’s interactions and nurture cooperation, learning, and sharing
- Cooperate with administration and staff
- Maintain student attendance and progress reports
Requirements:
- High school degree or GED required.
- Must be at least 18 years old. Higher degrees are a plus
- Creative teaching abilities
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Must have the ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Physical constraints required include the ability to hear the conversational voice, with or without a hearing aid, the ability to see and read newsprint with or without corrective lenses, to speak and be understood under normal circumstances, to lift and carry children and other items weighing up to 50 pounds, and the use of arms, hands, legs, and feet with or without corrective devices to accomplish the job, including evacuation of the building during emergencies.

KINDERGARTEN TEACHER
Full Time
PCA has an opening for the 2024-2025 school year for a passionate Christian KINDERGARTEN TEACHER at the Pensacola, FL campus.
Responsibilities:
- Design and follow a complete lesson plan.
- Plan instructional program for the class in keeping with the school’s curriculum.
- Use a variety of multi-sensory activities and instructional manipulatives to motivate and stimulate children’s growth and God-given talents.
- Maintain an open line of communication with parents and provide information when necessary.
- Assess students’ performance to ensure they are mastering age-appropriate skills.
- Monitor children’s interactions, and nurture cooperation, learning, and sharing.
- Cooperate with administration and staff.
Requirements:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in elementary education or be certified in elementary education.
- Possess an ACSI or state-issued certification in elementary education.
- At least one year of full-time teaching experience at the elementary level.
- Proficient knowledge of child development and latest education theories and practices.
- Creative teaching abilities.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
FIRST GRADE TEACHER

SUBSTITUTE TEACHER
PCA is always looking for qualified SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS in Pensacola, Florida. All applicants must go through a fingerprinting process and be approved before being called to work. Substitute teacher information will be kept on file. The school will call on an as-needed basis.
